Yiannis Tsanakaliotis

He was born in Athens. He studied piano with a scholarship at the National Conservatory of Athens under the internationally renowned pianist, Rita Vourtsis. In his diploma exams, he was awarded with a grade of Excellent, the first prize and excellence of exceptional performance. He also received a monetary award in memory of conductor Michalis Vourtsis. He has taken part in piano seminars with distinguished piano teachers and soloists, such as G. Mounier, Duo Ganev, N. Petrov, P.B. Skoda, B. Ringeissen. As a member of Opus I Trio made up of distinguished musicians of K.O.A. has participated in many chamber music recitals throughout Greece. He has performed as a soloist and as an ensemble in Germany, England, Denmark, Holland and France. He has collaborated as a soloist with the State Orchestra of Athens. He has collaborated with the Athens Concert Hall, in piano recitals, chamber music concerts, opera productions, song recitals. He has also contributed to the realization of educational programs of the organization menrioned above. As a pianist-opera accompanist and conductor, he has collaborated with renowned artists in seminars such as: Ch. Studer, G. Dimitrova, L. Serra, R. Knoll, D. Evagelatou, A. Christofelli, D. Tiliakos, T. Christoyannis et al. He has been a regular partner of the National Opera. He has played in many concerts and has recorded music by George Couroupos. Since 2021 he works as a tutor and piano teacher in France.
