The distinguished violinist Stella Tsani and the famous Canadian pianist Stephen Ham met in Algiers in May 2006, when the Greek Embassy in collaboration with the Canadian Embassy, the European Union and the Algerian Government organized a major concert of works for violin and piano, as well as works for violin, piano and orchestra. There, Stella Tsani and Stephen Ham appeared as a duet, but also collaborated as soloists with the National Symphony Orchestra of Algeria, under the musical direction of French chief musician Elise Gauthier-Villars, drawing dithyrambic reviews in a concert that was a triumph for all participants.
