Composer, musician, educator.

Her musical interests cover a wide span. She has worked with renowned music ensembles and orchestras (Kreutzer Quartet, Athens Camerata/Armonia Atenea, Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra, UMBC Symphony Orchestra, Rosarte children’s choir, Greek National Radio Symphony Orchestra, L’Αnima string quartet, Kroussis ensemble, etc.), and soloists from many countries over the world. The premiere of her first opera “A cloud in love” in March 2020 at the Alternative Stage of Greek National opera was postponed due to covid-19 conditions.

​Sofia has composed songs, scores for several theater performances (for the National Theater of Greece, the National Theater of Northern Greece, the Municipal Regional Theaters of Patras and Kozani etc.), short films and video art, multimedia performances (also as director), dance pieces and installations. She has joined several music ensembles and troupes throughout her career, and has performed widely in concerts, festivals, music venues, and theater stages (piano/improvisation/arrangements). With the virtuoso harmonica player Manos Avarakis they have a unique musical collaboration as a duet over many years.
