Sappho Stavridou is of Greek-Finnish origin and lives permanently in Bergen, Norway. She studied classical piano, monody and advanced theory at the National Conservatory. Later she did a bachelor in music pedagogy at a university in Norway.
She has professionally sung classical repertoire, jazz, musicals, German cabaret, gypsy music from various parts of Europe, traditional and folk music from at least 20 different countries of the world. She currently teaches singing, conducts 4 choirs and produces her own music.
