Matina Mastora
 
 
Matina Mastora was born and raised in Rhodes. At an early age she attended violin lessons at the Hellenic Conservatory. An important influence was the Music School of Rhodes from which she graduated. She studied at the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia in the direction of Greek Traditional Music, with the artistic subject of Traditional Song. She is a graduate of the Department of Byzantine Music of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki

She deals with the research and recording of the traditional songs of the Dodecanese. Since 2000, she has been participating in various musical groups, singing both traditional and modern songs in collaboration with various local and private organizations. Her first album was released with the band NOSTOS. Since 2009 she has been teaching traditional music and singing at the Music School of Rhodes.
