Margarita Syggeniotou
 
 

Margarita Sygeniotou was born in Athens. She studied piano, advanced theory (fugue degree) and singing (K. Papalexopoulou).

She has appeared as a soloist with the National Opera in numerous productions of a wide range of repertoire from the Baroque to the twentieth century. She was a permanent member of the ELLS Experimental Stage, since its foundation. She was a permanent member of the Hellenic Contemporary Music Group, performing works by Greek and foreign composers, many of which were first performed or specially written for her.

She has repeatedly collaborated with the Athens Concert Hall, Camerata, the Color Orchestra, the ERT Symphony Orchestra, the Ergon Ensemble, the Cyprus State Orchestra, the Delphi and Aix-en-Provence Festivals, etc.

She has appeared in many cities in Greece and abroad (USA, Germany, France, Italy, England, Cyprus, etc.) in large halls, such as Carnegie Hall, the Academy of Arts in Munich, etc.​

She has recorded numerous works by Greek and foreign composers for discography, as well as for Greek Radio and Television.
She teaches monody at the Music Horizons Conservatory.
