Subways Music presents the song cycle "Grafomena" (=written) . These are musical compositions by Iossif Valette based on selections of poems from the poetry collection of the same name by Elena Kyritsi, released in 1995 by Paratiritis publications. The voice is performed by soprano Myra Milolidaki.
The songs on the record represented the Greek song at the 1999 Biennale of New Composers in Rome (Biennale dei Giovani Artisti dell' Europa e del Mediterraneo), performed by the music ensemble Proti Praxi - a group of talented performers who collaborated to present the work. In 2003 the first recordings were completed, which continued in 2012 and 2016 with revisions to the orchestration and the addition of a prologue and an epilogue.
