Gerta Sinaj began her violin studies at the age of 7. After 8 years, she continued studying viola and completed her studies at the Academy of Tirana, from where she obtained a "Diploma in Viola" with a grade of "Excellent Honors". He was Principal Viola in the Tirana Radio Symphony Orchestra.

As a member of the String Quartet of Radio Tirana, she was distinguished in an international competition in Spain. She has been a member of the string quartet L'Anima since 1998, with which - among others - she has performed at the Presidential Palace and the Maximus Palace as a guest of the Presidency of the Republic and the Government. Also, with the same figure, she appeared in April 2003 in the Attalos Lodge during the European Union Enlargement Ceremony, before the 25 leaders and delegations of the member countries, as a guest of the Minister. of Foreign Affairs and the Greek Presidency of the European Union.

She has appeared in the most important concert venues in Greece. She has recorded for radio, television, cinema and has participated in many recording projects. She is a permanent member of the State Orchestra of Athens, as well as the String Ensemble of the State Orchestra of Athens.
