Christina Kalliaridou
 
 

Christina Kalliaridou is a music teacher with over twenty years of experience in Primary Education and choir director, a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holder of a Postgraduate Diploma in Children and School Choir Management from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. She also has complete conservatory studies in piano, bassoon and advanced theory.​​

From 2010 she took over the artistic direction of the Corfu Choir, starting with the pre-existing Men's Choir and then overseeing the establishment and operation of 5 more ensembles (Children's Choir, Preparatory Sections I and II, Boys' Choir, Women's Choir). With the Choir sections, she developed a rich educational and concert activity inside and outside the island, which led to distinctions with the Men's and Children's Choir of Corfu in international choral competitions (Kalamata, Corfu, Venice, Vienna). In January 2016, she taught and conducted at a choral festival in Jacksonville, Florida, as the guest conductor of the Jacksonville Children's Chorus. From the 2018-2019 academic year, she oversees the operation of the specialization "Child, School and Youth Choir Conducting" at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University University, which she has been working with since 2016. From the academic year 2020-2021 she has moved to the position of E.E.P. of the Department.
